MISSION STATEMENT

SHEKINAH INC. is a Christian nonprofit organization whose directors and staff members have a deep belief that Christian values and morals can lead to a healthier and happier life and whose purpose it is to encourage families and individuals in lessons of self-respect, pride and responsibility towards self, family and community. 

Our second goal is to revitalize the parental involvement of parents who do not have physical custody of their children, we feel strongly that it is time that acknowledgement of parents outside the home and the effects that they have on their children’s lives be done.  Although these parents are not a part of their children’s’ lives it is time that they were encouraged to establish a working relationship with their parenting partner. 

These parents should be given the opportunity to become a major part of their children’s’ lives in any form made available to them.  These two goals shall be accomplished together with the help and the cooperation of the parents, extended family members and the community.

The aim of SHEKINAH INC. is self-sufficiency.  Families and individuals cannot achieve their full potential without the independence that comes with having gainful employment with which they can support themselves and their families with pride.  We strive to access our participants’ potential and talents and utilize those talents for their own advancement.

WHAT IS SHEKINAH INC?

SHEKINAH INC. is a Christian oriented agency; therefore we reach out to persons of all religions, races, creed and origin and invite them to participate in our programs and classes. Our goal is to reach out to people of all lifestyle choices.

If a lifestyle is one that we as individuals or as an organization do not happen to agree with it is our determination to treat all people with love and respect. Therefore, without judgement we reach out in love to our fellow man.

WE desire to assist all of our participants in achieving the highest level of success possible. We believe and adhere to the notion that all men are created equal and that all are created for a Holy Purpose which only the Creator knows and each individual is meant to discover.
